Spring Like Weather

Last weekend, Papa, Mama, and EL went to a park since it was nice and warm. EL was interested in the flower pot there. He was touching and examining the flower, mud, and everything else to see what they were.

Climber

Last week, EL and Mama went to a play house offered by the city for kids between 0-3 with our friends. EL was a little shy when we got there, but started to explore and played on his own. He was even climbing up the ladder, and surprised Mama. :O


EL also went inside of a little house. He was holding on to a ladle. "Are you going to serve me a cup of soup?" said Mama.

A Walk in the Park

EL and Mama went to a park today. He was wearing his shoes, so Mama let him stand on the ground. It was EL's first time being on the ground outside! When we are out, he is usually on a stroller or in a sling. Standing on the ground gave him a whole different view. He was looking around and studying his surroundings.

Start Walking Soon???

EL seems like he is ready to walk! He has taken a couple of steps (by accident??) a few times, but he hasn't actually walked yet without a support. Can't wait for him to start walking... or not?!

Yummy Udon

EL was eating seaweed udon (Japanese noodles). He had seaweed all over his mouth, but he didn't care! He said, "Give me more!"

10-Month Checkup

The other day, EL went to a doctor's office for his 10-month checkup. He is now about 27 inches and 17.5 lbs.

Expecting More Snow

We had quite a bit of snow last weekend, and we are expecting more snow again this weekend. Papa and Mama wonder if EL likes the snow...

Bean Throwing Day

February 3 is Setsubun in Japan. (Here is a link about Setsubun: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Setsubun) We threw soybeans out the door and into the house to get rid of bad luck and bring in good luck.
