Big Boy Bike

EL got his new bike today. Even though he really wanted training wheels on, Papa and Mama decided that he doesn't need them. In fact, he did an awesome job riding the bike. EL was pretty scared and at one point, he wanted to go back to his trike. He even said, "I think I am going to get my other bike (trike), and you can ride this one, Mama," but she didn't him do that. What a mean mother! EL still needs someone to hold him up, but he is already making a progress!

Shots and More Fun

EL had 3 shots on Thursday, and he was feeling pretty bad especially towards the end of the day, but he was happy about getting 3 stickers!


When we went to a library, EL grabbed "Momotaro" book and started to retell the story by looking at pictures. "Momotaro" is one of his favorite Japanese stories, and he often has Mama read it to him, so he can tell some parts of the story.


After having an exciting afternoon having guests with newborn baby and younger toddler friends, EL had fun climbing on the tree in the front yard. What a fun day!

Completed 48-Piece Puzzle!

This morning, EL spend about 30 minutes putting together a puzzle. There were 48 pieces, and it was his first time putting together this puzzle! Towards the end, Mama almost said something a couple of times, but she managed to keep quiet. EL was proud of himself finishing it all by himself.


Right after lunch we went to the pool, and EL practiced swimming a little. He mostly enjoyed playing in the water.

Perfect Weather for Zoo

EL helped Mama make lunch to bring with to the zoo in the morning. The weather was very nice and EL enjoyed another visit to the zoo.


Papa and Mama put up a piece of clothe over EL's bed to keep his room dark enough for his summer bed time. EL called it "tent" and loves it!

Summer Vacation!!

EL finished his school for the year last Thursday, and Mama is off for the summer, too. EL and Mama planted some flowers in the back yard, and went to the part to play Frisbee and badminton. EL requested to go to the zoo tomorrow!

Father's Day

EL cooked (with Mama's help) breakfast for Papa this morning. He measured ingredients for waffles, cracked an egg in, and sliced strawberries.


For lunch, we had Opa and Ouma over to celebrate the day, and we ate outside on our new deck!


In the afternoon EL enjoyed drawing in the driveway with chalk.

What EL Likes to Do at Home

EL loves to build a fort, house, or room, etc. with his toys, chairs, boxes, etc. He also likes his stuffed animals that he goes to bed with.



Papa finished the deck this weekend. We just have to paint it when it's nice and warm! Thanks Papa!

Water Fun

This weekend was very warm. EL watered Opa & Ouma's plants and sprayed Mama with the hose! He also played in his new little pool in the back yard!

EL and Snail

EL and Mama found a snail about a week ago, and he's been (sort of) taking care of it. He named it "Zo-san Katatsumuri (Elephant Snail)" and he enjoys watching the snail.

Washing Dishes

Last weekend Mama asked EL to do his dishes. He said, "Sure!" and did a great job.

Deck Progress

Thanks for Papa's hard work. Papa plans to work on it more this weekend. Mama will try to help if she's feeling better... EL can't wait to play on a new deck!
