HUGE!

Look at how huge Mama is! It's her 39th week and the doctor really thinks the baby is coming soon. She made a similar comment last week, so it's hard to say, but maybe... The baby is almost 3 kgs (6.6 lbs), and his head is coming down.

Maybe Soon...!?

A photo here is Dad-Y (soon-to-be Grandpa-Y) and Papa putting together the baby bed. This bed has been used to raise Mama's older sister and Mama. It's crazy how well the bed has been kept after so many years! Our baby is going to be the third one to use this bed.

Mama went to see the doctor again today. The baby weighs about 2.7 kgs (5.9 lbs), and everything seems to be good. Even though the baby has not dropped that much yet, Mama's body is getting ready for him to come meet us. According to the doctor, some babies are not dropped until the actual contractions start. She also said, "See you in a week if you don't have your baby yet!" So, Mama asked if that meant we might have a baby within a week. She said, "It's definitely a possibility, but again, it's hard to say."

Signs of Spring

The baby is still moving actively, but it often times hurts Mama. She was worried about how strong he moves, so asked the doctor. According to her, a super active baby is a good sign.

Mama was bored today, so she went out for a walk with our digital camera looking for signs of spring.

Mama is ready! Baby is not!?

Mama is looking pretty ready for the baby to come out. Her tummy is very big and it is getting harder and harder for her to do anything! Papa and Mama are getting ready to have him mentally and physically. But what about him??? Maybe not quite yet... The doctor did not mention about the baby coming soon. She said we can still see the baby on the ultrasound pretty clearly and Mama's tummy has not been so tight overall. I guess that means not quite ready yet. The visit to the doctor becomes once a week from today.

It might be hard to tell, but the photo on the left is his cute little foot. Towards the left of the photo is his heel and the right side shows his toes. The photos on the right are both his face. The one on the left has more focus on his moth and nose, and the right one has more focus on his nose, eyes, and forehead. The doctor asked me if Papa was from the West. She said the baby's face looks different from typical Japanese faces, especially around the nose and forehead. He kind of looks like our Dad-L. :) Does anyone see that?

Baby Stroller

Here is another gift from Dad-Y and Mom-Y. It is a pretty nice stroller, and the top handlebar can be adjusted to different levels, so it would be easy for a short person like me to push the stroller. We can use the stroller facing the baby as well. Being able to face the baby was one of the most important factors for us when we were shopping. The seat fully reclines, and the top shade is pretty big that it would be useful for the summer.
