1st Halloween

Today is EL's first Hallowen. He does not have a costume, but has a cute bib Grandpa-L & Grandma-D gave him and a huge pumpkin hat.

Today is also the expected due date for his new cousin. Best wishes to Auntie-S and Uncle-J. We cannot wait to meet his little cousin soon.

Very Serious

Look at his serious face! EL was playing with a big toy MY gave him. He was so concentrated, and was very quiet while Mama was preparing for dinner. What a good boy! However, he needed to be entertained by Mama soon after this photo...

"This Is Tasty!"

EL is learning to eat different foods. He has been eating some soft rice, some vegitables, tofu, fish, and chicken. Mama recently introduced him to baby rice crackers. If a piece of the craker is big enoug, he can hold it and eat/suck on it by himself.

!! First Tooth !!

A little while ago, Grandma-D sent several books that she used to read for Papa when he was growing up. Today, EL picked one of them, "The Tooth Book" and Mama read it for EL. After they finished with the book, Mama was trying to feel if any teeth are coming out. She felt something a little bit hard. There it was! His little first tooth is coming out!!! This is so exciting!!!

Standing Up

This past week, one of EL's favorite things to do is to stand up. With just a little help, he can stand up. One night, he kept standing up over and over again, and was laughing while he did it. A few days after that day, Mama sat him down in his crib. When Mama saw him after a few minutes, he was smiling and standing up with his hands grabbing the crib bumper! He's got super strong legs!!

"Papa, Stay Home with Me."

One morning, Papa was having breakfast and getting ready to go to work. EL woke up and was cuddling with Papa. EL wanted to stay with Papa, and didn't want him to leave! :(

Getting Ready for Halloween!

EL's very first Halloween is coming up. He and Mama went to their baby signing class on Monday, and had a small Halloween Party. He wore this hat. He already got some baby rice crakers for "doing" trick-or-treating!!

Good Helper!?

As Mama took this picture, EL said, "I am a good helper! I can help Papa change me." While Papa was trying to change him, EL was grabbing Papa's fingers and pulling up his pants. :)

Fluffy Hair

EL's hair is growing and now it's very fluffy. He even gets bedhead. :) Can you see it on the right side of his head above his ear? :D

First Step to Crawling

Papa and Mama think that EL has been practicing to crawl. This is his style. :) He can't quite lift his head, but he is trying. He can go forward like this a little, but he does this mostly when he is crying. So, is he really trying to crawl, or just expressing his anger...???

Chilly!

The weather in Tokyo has gotten very chilly all of a sudden. EL now needs to wear a long-sleeve shirt and long pants/socks. It's going to be EL's first winter, and Papa and Mama hope that he is not going to get sick much.
